NEXANS JTS MV HEAT-SHRINKABLE JOINT WITH TRIPLE LAYER TUBE

Welcome to the new Era of Heat-Shrink Joints

 

Nexans Power Accessories has released a new series of joints adapted to meet Australian/New Zealand standards.

The JTS series straight cable joints use a new triple layer heat shrink tubing with integrated stress control field, insulating and conductive tube in addition to a new dual layer wrap around stress control mastic plate technology which reduces complexity and installation time.

  • Up-to Umax 24 kV with Umax 36 and 42kV to be released in 2021

  • Kitted with Nexans GPH® wide range taking mechanical shear off connectors
  • Electrical continuity of the screen is ensured by copper screen mesh & two mechanical shear off screen links
  • Outer sheath is restored with heavy wall adhesive lined tubing providing excellent water sealing

Nexans launches its YouTube channel dedicated to electricity: WHAT'S WATT by Nexans!

This series of videos will cover everything there is to know about electricity.

The series is co-hosted by Nexans scientific expert, Frédéric Lesur (high voltage products and cable systems Senior Engineer), and two science communicators/influencers: Athena Brensberger (astrophysics), and Vanessa Hill (psychology and neurosciences).

NEXANS GPH® MECHANICAL CABLE LUG WITH 2 PALM HOLES

Nexans Power Accessories has developed a new range of cable lugs based on the GPH® C-Series for all conductors operating up to 90°C and voltages up to 52 kV. The new series covers the metric conductor cross-sections from 25 mm² to 630 mm² and the North American range from AWG #2 to 1250 kcmil.

  • Highest customer acceptance and efficiency in all markets worldwide due to one-tool-bolts.
  • Forging, CNC-machining and standard tinplating ensure best mechanical and electrical properties.
  • Palm design with a round and a slot hole ensures easy installation and fulfills European and NEMA standards. Other hole and palm designs are available on request, subject to minimum order quantity and lead-time.
  • GPH® C-Series cable lugs are longitudinally sealed; the barrel is filled with contact grease.

 

Dimensions of these cable lugs are compatible with the most common terminations using heat-shrink, cold-shrink, and slip-on technology. The surface is suitable for standard insulating materials.

 

A family test certificate for the GPH® M-Series connectors verifies compliance with EN 61238-1 for the conductor cross-section range 16 mm² to 630 mm². The scope of this certificate is covering the GPH® C-Series Mechanical cable lugs including lugs with two palm holes.
